I don't like the holidays because it reminds me so much of how much I miss my dad and wishing he were still alive. I know he is watching over myself and my kids. Its been 13 years now since he passed on and there is not a day that goes by of missing him or thinking how he would have loved to have grandkids. Even though my kids fill up much of that sadness with happiness, I still miss you greatly and love you lots...

Aww Burbs, my lil sister friend.... my heart goes out to you and for all that you're going through right now. Yes I believe that your father is watching over you and your children, helping and guiding you through out your life.

Hey there Burbs,

There are not many times that I feel that other people can relate to me regarding life experiances, but in this instance, I can definately relate. In June it will be 10 years since I lost my father. I too was a daddy's girl and every day I miss him so much and am sad that he is not here physically to take part in the joy that I feel in being a new mother. His last X-mas is especially sad because I was living with him but did not celebrate his last christmas with him. I was 15 years old. I spent his last christmas with my moms family instead of with him. He spent in our apt. by himself watching movies on pay per view. At the time I did not know that he had cancer. He kept it from us until the month before he passed so that he wouldnt break our hearts. Every christmas I regret that I didnt spend it with him. Good thoughts and blessings go out to you and to all those that are still in the process of grieving.

Char I:m so sorry, You know he's watching you & your babies I too lost my Dad 7 years ago July5 he had heart problems on the 4th of july weekend he knew this might be his last so we all had a 3day long party with friends & familey. it was wonderful he was so happy.

My heart goes out to you girl. It's been three years since I lost my dad. I thought of the last gift I gave him... a really nice bone carved knife a friend of mine made (my dad collected guns and knives). When I put it in his hand I knew something wasn't right. That was the last time I laid eyes on him... Sometimes it's real hard because we were real close. It's hell. Especially around the holidays.... not only at Christmas but on our birthdays December 2nd and 31st.

Thanks for making me remember some good times. LMAO like him feigning mad cow disease. hahaha
