If any of you have friends and/or loved ones who are veterans or active duty military-- whether they're living or deceased, please consider attending the first annual Great Salt Water Veterans Honor Powwow coming up in Jacksonville, NC (near Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base) the weekend of November 5th - 7th.
There will be a Wall of Honor & Gratitude upon which you may post a picture and/or some poetry or written memorial about your loved ones. The Wall of Honor will be up throughout the powwow and will be a central focus at the powwow grounds. Saturday (Nov 6) is a day that will be dedicated to honoring certain individuals for their service to not only Indian country, but to this country at large. For more information, please visit the website: http://www.greatsaltwater.com or e-mail me sarita@coastalcarolinaindians.com Nya:weh & we'll look forward to seeing you there! |
