Dear Daddy...

It was good to see you! I miss you so much. Everything's going ok here.... I'm watching over Mom like you asked. Business is good, the family is fine. We were more than father and daughter, we were good friends. You are my protector, my voice of "now you KNOW".... lol and you don't hesitate to let me know when I'm azzing around. LOL. I am so blessed to have had you as a father. Thank you for your words of wisdom. I understand your methodology now. :) I remember everything like it was yesterday. Laughing, cutting up, and feigning mad cow disease when working on my dress LMFAO!!!!!! It's been going on three years since you left us. I finally get what it is that I'm supposed to do.... atleast one of the things. I've grown alot, ya know? Mentally emotionally, and spiritually. It's a hard road but I'm walking it. It's the right thing to do.

I've come to realize that this place is full of idiots, cowards, liars, thieves, and evil. But it's also full of geniuses, warriors, truth seekers, and good. Lots of grey areas too. I focus on me... and be the best that I can and not worry about others, their issues, nor their opinions of me. I'm working hard. If I have my way, I'll be able to buy a headstone for your grave and be able to take care of mom like I want to. I love her so much. I've always understood that death is not the end... you've reinforced that knowledge.... but losing you physically took a huge piece of me. You're always in my heart.... and now, my heart's even bigger than before as more people come and go. It took me a long time to get over losing you... but I'm ready now. My clothes will be ready soon.

Thank you for raising me and nurturing me to be true to myself and my peoples. Thank you for working from sun up to sun down to feed us and take care of us. Thank you for being proud of me nomatter what. Thank you for opening up and sharing with me and teaching me. Thank you for teaching me manners, sharing, and love. Thank you for loving me and being the glue that held us together. Now that responsibility passes on to us. I'm so glad to have/ had you. I love you. I'm glad I told you until the day you died.

I just read through your letter to your father, and it was very touching to the heart. May the Lord, the Spirit, be with him, and just think, one day you will be with him, and right now, he' s probably smiling down on you. You sound like a child that he would be proud of, I know I would be if you were my daughter.
