My mother, Helen (Tsosie) Ben said, "You can only be in one room at a time." Her poignant quote proves true. What amazes me she birthed 16 children; in a traditional hogan on the Navajo Indian Reservation with no running water, no electricity, and dirt floors. YET, she was happy and her children were happy considering many challenges in her lifetime. She has now passed on but I want to praise her for her strength and beauty. Happy belated Mother's Day message. She gives me the strength to live a life of happiness, as it is a choice to be a postive influence or not. In my own life I had many successes and now in the past six years I'm going blind due to Diabetes with the complication of Glaucoma. Thats not stopping me now as her inner beauty and strength helps me daily to become the person I am today.
