BIG hair memories...

With my 15 year reunion coming up, some old friends and I were going through some old pictures from highschool. God my hair was so embarrassing! It was huge. I used SO much hairspray everyday. I teased and picked and fluffed my do and then sprayed it until it was this massive poofed out helmet! It was literally hard as a rock! I wore so much makeup....I wouldn't be seen without my trademark "neon pink" lipstick.

I'm looking forward to seeing all my old classmates, but I know everyone is gonna bring up my hair! Oh well! Can anyone explain why we did this? Why was this hairstyle so popular? Big hair has got to be the most embarrasing hairstyle in history.

Did anyone else have hair like this? Have you "lost" all of those pictures too?

roflmao the BIG Hair... YUP... I had that hair too.. teased spray tease sum more ... hahahah ..had to get the hair as high as i could.. But No I have NO idea Why we thought this was So popular... and yes I got rid of them pics.. LOL.. they inna box sumwhere.. My kids take them out once inna while and tease me... then there was the bubble.. ya know let the rest of your hair long but the bangs you push into a bubble.. anyone remeber that? it kinda in style today but the bubble set a lil further back and not as high.

I was the QUEEN of big hair LMAO ....
My sister got pizzed off at me one time an threw a glass at me an it bounced off my hair an broke... it never touched my head.
My dad was laughing so hard ..... we didn't get in trouble.
An remember how the hairspray had to be Aqua Net ?
Everyone started calling it "Helmet in a can" after that.

Big hair was "in back in those days" and who knows .....
history repeats it's self with styles......

who would have thought bell bottom jeans would have come back in, but they did for a while...

I hope the big hair styles are only a thing of the past.....

GEEE< just cause I thought I was getting over the trauma of BIG HAIR PICTURES this summer, here you guys go!!!

My friend Andrea was a tall girl, but DANG, she was over 6ft with her big hair!!

Any my big hair was like a huge fan..and I had to try to be sexy about it too, and go for that stupid fall of hair right over my eye....OMG.....and those earrings...big plastic hoop earrings in all colors!! and those Hammer pants with white shirts and black vests...and little black shoes...DANG..I was IT!!!!

To this day that Aqua net in the purple bottle and Aussie hairspray take me back to 1989 and 1990......cause in 1991, I grew my hair out straight...LMAO.....and I always get misty eyed when I hear "Joy and Pain".....anyone remember that one?????

oh the big hair days.. my kids were like mom what is that on your head.. so i no longer have those pictures.. or any pictures in parachute pants....LOL...

yep used it to start a few camp fires back in the day.. went to do it last year and didnt work as well as i remembered..
