Dogs vs. Cats

too true!
some of you may recall my old cat walked on the other week... well, I contacted a cat rescue group and am now providing foster care for an 8 year old cat. his name is Spencer and why he ever got dumped at the shelter, I'll never know. he's always lovin' on me now, my little girl cat... she's the same old snot she's always been... takes life on HER terms and I just happen to be along for the ride!

Sympathies to you Spirit of Sea on your loss - pets are family too and it's hard to lose one. I haven't been able to get another dog since we lost ours 6 years ago.
As for our cat, I think she thinks she's the lady of the house and not me! She also thinks she's the parent of our daughter and that we just get in the way! But hey if I calculate her age to people years she's something like 75 so I guess I gotta give the old girl a break right?! I hope we have many years of her loving attitude - she's such an important member of the family. |

Thank you Singing Eagle and Nt_inuk. My old boy was 18 years old and the vet said that equated to 88 years of age. I took a picture of Ty and had a company put it on a coffee mug for me--so, he's always with me. :flowers:

 Yeah, that's a good description, but he's the sweetest...I have to wipe his eyes every once in awhile but he has been a great comfort. He 'talks' to me when I look at him--and I talk back to him...not sure what kind of 'nut' that makes me!
