Help!

I am supposed to start dancing soon and I was told I had to have some sort of coming out ceremony because it will be my very first time dancing and my best friend who told me this has no clue what kind of ceremony it is or how to go about doing it so I am in the dark and dont know what to do if someone could please give me some help or advice that would really help me out I'd REALLY appreciate it

Seek out your Elder's they will tell you how your particular tribe enter's the arena properly and get's the right to dance certain style. It varies allot from tribe to tribe. If you want to do thing's right. That is the best way to go. Good Luck!!

i've seen ppl have a song at a powwow and then a give away.....thats if you have trouble seein with ur elders and such...........

I talked with a few of my elders and they told me that I have to choose someone thats a friend of my family and that I am close to and have them make a speech about my and announcing that I am entering the powwow circle and then I have to choose a drum to sing a song for me and give them something then they sing me a song and I invite everyone important to me out into the arena floor to dance with me then I have a giveaway. Thanks for all the help I feel much better :D :Thumbs
