Sleeve idea!

ok.. i have and idea (oh no!)

My next dress i was planning on making a full dress.... like a vest sewn to the skirt. only the vest will have no butotns in the front but a zipper from the neck to the butt in the back to take off....... ok. i have a crazy idea... i was thinking that since the vest will have no sleeve, that i could put snaps around it and then sew 2 sleeves, and put the snaps on the top that meets the shoulder so they snap together.. i would cover the snaps up on the vest with sequines. So.. these sleeves will be long sleeved, i can have different colors, i can even wear one sleeve one color and one sleeve another... (ok i am getting carried away). But, if it is too hot for long sleeves i can just wear a short sleeved shirt under the dress.

Lemme know what everyone thinks!

LOL girl..... you just had me all confused. hehehehe just teasing.

You've got an innovative idea!!! I think it's just one of those things that I'd have to see to get a picture of how it'll look. I was thinking that you could change shirts completely underneath, instead of working with snaps. Seems like alot less work and you wouldn't have to worry about the sequins coming off and showing the snaps. That made me think of this nifty bodyshirt/blouse I saw once, that was like a leotard but it had a blouse built onto the top......
