What sort of stuff do you all use for your tabs? The stuff you 'thread' the cones with. Some use ribbon, some use even that rik-rak stuff, and so on.

I like to use the double fold bias tape.

i used ribbon on my sisters dress... it looked good!! (when it was on a hanger!! lol) but she didnt' care for how it moved when she danced for some reason.... so we're going 2 be using the bias tape now!!

i also use double folded bias tape on my lil girls dress.
its more durable and moves easier

I saw one dress long time ago made with ribbon tabs. The poor things were getting shredded by the tops of the cones. Yep, the narrow double fold bias tape is great and quite durable. The only bad thing is finding the colors you want. Sometimes I have to buy white tape and dye it.

Years ago, I've tried different things as well. We all learn as time moves on. :)

Yeah the ribbon is not that strong to endure the cones.

Never thought about dying the white bias tape. Good tip!

double fold bias tape hands down! and if i cant find the colors i need i make my own, they have bias tape makers and ive seen demos on you tube ;)
