Old Style Jinglers

Any of you do beadwork on velvet or velveteen?

Which is easier?

I would think the velveteen is easier. Even though it is not as plush as the velvet is, it is still pretty and more easier for stability.

I'm beading the velveteen.

My sister beaded velvet with a stabilizer on back. Looks beautiful. I'm the more lazier beader LOL. Well I guess my full time job comes into play as well I dont have the time I'd like to put into my beading and sewing. Bones startin' to creak.
Aye!

Velveteen is easier to bead on. I love the way it looks.

I've beaded on both and I prefer the cotton velveteen. It looks more like the old-time stuff with less of a pile/nap.

Same here. I have a burgandy-brownish-wine colour velveteen with oldstyle florals and it's so purdy. The velvet is gorgeous too, but harder to work with. My sister used this backing and is getting through it all. But work-wise I think I'm preferring the velveteen.

Awww your poor Mom. That carpel tunnel I hear, is painful and aggravating. I hope it's not too bad for her.
