Personally...for me when I was a little one Fancy Shawl was easier to learn..
BUT Jingle is easier to dance lol

My daughter used to dance fancy shawl but now she's in jingle. We think fancy shawl is more athletic and a little harder because you have to move your arms alot. However, jingle side step is not easy and jingle dancers gets alot of trick songs.

Thats the reason i switched to jingle when i was younger....but then again i was on and off with the both of them cuz i couldn't decide lol

All dance styles are pretty easy.......but to actually make it look good----that's a different story.

I found them both fairly easy to master......juss play'n!!

All depends on your teen. If your younger - go fancy shawl. It's fun to kick it up. However when you get older, have asthma, and other things going on, sometimes jingle comes calling to you.
