Workout

I just recently started going to the gym to try to build my endurance a little more before I start dancing jingle this fall and I was wondering what you other ladies do in the line of working out, cardio training, etc.?

Workout

Hello there. What I normally do for a workout is more of the stairstepper and the bike. The stairstepper is great for cardio but also leg muscles and that's good for the side step as well. There is more of an endurance workout that I do, not cardio, and it with a ten pound weight and I do 5 different exercises with those as well, but non stop. Hope this helps

Thanks!

Right now, I'm doing 20 minutes of cardio either on the eliptical machine or the treadmill. then the weight machines with weights varying from 25 to 40 lbs. My legs are a lot stronger than my arms so I can do more weights there. I only do weights every other day and the days that I don't do weights I do longer cardio.

Sounds like a good start so far. I recommend you also strengthen your back, core and shoulder muscles too. When you wear a heavy dress all weekend, something's got to hold it all up! You'd be surprised how much of a difference this makes. Don't forget flexibilty exercises and stretching for the feet and ankles. You'll want to protect yourself from sprains when you accidentally step into a gopher hole, lol!

I'm working my back. Trust me!!! I know those dresses are heavy. I'm doing a full body workout when it comes to weights. I hate using free weights so I just do a rotation on the machines.

I have a home gym that has a stair stepper on it, and I do tummy crunches and leg lifts. I also have a exercise bike, although I do like go out bike riding alot better. I go in the summer's riding with a friend of mine and we go down by a lake in their neighborhood and I like to ride a bike on the paths at the park. And then in the summer I actually swim alot.

Thumbs up

Six meals a day, breakfast, then handsize snack, lunch, hand size snack, dnner, hand size snack. About 3-4 hours apart. Core is great for jingle, especially when you start sidesteppin. Avoid fried food and carbonated drinks. stay with it you'll see results. I've dropped 30 lbs since jan.
