I have never danced to a double beat at a powwow. Have any of you jinglers?

Powwows atta have us jinglers get out there and double beat, they have it for the other categories. I think it'd be fun!

I haven't had to dance to a Double Beat during contest....yet. I heard it happen a couple times though. I did attempt it at small traditional pow wow one summer. It was more for kicks and giggles.

ive never done it...but i did see it done at red lake a few years back, it was for a jingle dress special was down to 2 dancers my moms and willow did a double beat for the deal breaker my mom was laughing so hard for most of the song, cause she's never done it lol but it was fun she said :D

It might be cool.
But chicken dancers aren't supposed to dance the double beat songs because that style came from the Crow and it belongs to them which is why it is called the double beat crow hop, but I only know this for chicken dancers. I don't know about other categories because I have seen a few categories dance to it, then again people in some places know about appropriation and others don't.

i did it! lol LMAO it was during grand entry at Thief River Falls pow wow! i asked some peeps the day before on how to do it and i was gonna practice at home but then during grand entry the host drums were taking turns singin and what not and they decided to do a double beat...i tried it lol i musta looked ok cause i got a few thumbs up lmao then i scrubbed it towards the end lmao anyhow yeah thats about it...
