New Jingle Dancer

I have been feeling like I should start dancing jingle and was wondering if some of you wonderful ladies could give me some advice. I currently only have cloth dresses but after my grandmother died, I felt an undeniable tug to start dancing jingle. What is the proper way to begin dancing this style? I know that there is great responsibility with this style and that there are certain things that must be done. I know the stories behind the dress and that each dance is a prayer but I want to make sure I don't offend anyone by dancing this style. Can someone help me out?

Your best bet would be to find and talk to a woman of that Tribe: Ojib/Chippewa. They would be the ones who would be able to help you out with that.

I know my best bet would be to talk to a lady from that tribe but I don't know any.

Try contacting Ojibwaysweetie, Singing Otter, some of the others knowledgable folks from here through pm, and see if they can point you in the right direction

It will happen if it's meant to. You can't be in too big of a hurry. Someone will come along. But there are women on these threads who are of these tribes and they might be able to guide you or help you in some way--I really don't know.

I can't and really neither can someone not of that tribe--they can give you advise (like I can), but it's the ones of those tribes who are the ones who could really get you there if you are meant to dance this dance.
