Is it appropriate to dance other styles at Powwow?

I am a Jingle Dancer, and host as Head Jr. Dancer on occasion. I was wanting to know if it is appropriate to change my dress and dance Fancy Shaw in the same Powwow? As long as I am not Head Jr. Dancer at that particular Powwow.

I really enjoy dancing different steps.... and Love my obligations as a "Healing Dress" dancer! There has been some mention that it's not something we should do, but I really like to show new dancers and guest many styles. I started out as a Fancy Shaw a few years ago then danced Traditional cloth before I chose to take on the obligation of Jingle dancer, by talking with Elders and getting permission.

Sure you can change up at the same powwow.

Sure why not. But i beleive as long as it's not in the same session. I have gone to powwows where I dance jingle on e session and then dance fancy another session. To me I guess, It's whatever I feel like dancing at the time

My daughter dances both traditional and jingle. Just make sure you have complete outfits for each!
