fringes?
Just wondered how many of you have fringes on your jingle dress.
I have a black dress with fringes made of ribbons on the back. I saw a similair decoration on a video once. Maybe you could post a pic of your dress :D

thanks so much for all your positive feedback!
This is my first jingle dress I made and at that time I had nothing to look into for instructions on how to make it. The only thing I knew was the flap at the rear side of the skirt, so you can sit down! :D The idea I got from watching a video to learn the steps. One dancer had fringes on her back. So I wanted to know if some of you dancers have them too. See ya :Chatter :Chatter

Your dress is beautiful....
Yes, I've seen dresses with fringe before. They are more subtle, tho. But look very nice. I hadn't considered it when making my daughter's dress, but I don't consider myself that creative at dress-making anyway. Way to go!! You should consider making more dresses and possibly making a living at it!! take care.

Does all the fringe hinder the movement of the jingles and mute the sound? It is a nicely done dress but I have to admit when the pic first started coming up I thought it was a fancy shawl outfit by mistake. :o

The whole sound comes from the jingles from the skirt, and there are no fringes. :D

jingle fringe
:p The dress looks good, reminds me of a grass dance outfit. So it seems that the jingle dress and the grass dance regalia compliment each other not only in dress but in the style of dance, don't you think?
