1000 jingles

Anyone know where to buy 1000 rolled jingles for the best price, and shipping?

I looked around and found some small child size one's at Matoska but with the shipping you have to order 500 to make it worth it.

Here's their web link.

http://home.att.net/~randvjingles/catalog.html

Here's the cheapest option of all if you don't mind slightly more work.... not bad if you do it while watching TV. Cut and roll your own from aluminum roof flashing. You can get that at any home improvement or hardware store. Comes in different widths and lengths. If you get the 10" x 50 foot roll, you can make about 1324 jingles out of it. A roll that size cost me $20.

Cheaper yet: I once saved, washed and cut up chili cans.

Alas, I have no time and am tired of getting sore hands and wrists.

I have a trainee started, cuz I have about 1500 lids just sitting around in boxes.

About 5 or 6 years ago, I bought 1000 from R and V in NJ. I looked up the prices on the site now, and its $139 for 1000 rolled Redwook, Silver Creek or Indian time adult sized cones. That was the best deal I found then, plus there's FREE SHIPPING!

They aren't the cheapest but I just bought 1000 cones from a lady in WA on ebay:

Hey, has anybody heard of soaking or coating your jingle cones in something before attaching them to the dress, so that they don't rust or oxidize? Anybody heard of this? If so, what is the stuff?

After rolling our copenhagen lids last year, we coated them with clear lacquer Rustoleum and they still look new. WW

When I'm rolling my own jingles, I like to wipe them down with a rag with a little WD-40 on it after I trim them. Gets the tobacco off and rust proofs them in one wiping.
