Jingle cones of another color

Has anyone seen or know of anyone who has jingles that are not silver or gold? I think I saw 1 girl out west who had pink jingles. How is this done without ruining the sound of the jingles?

Some of the coppenhagen lids come in different colors. I used all the colors on my daughter's dress this last year. I organized them neatly though on the dress. She has one lid that is burgandy. No extra need to color them or anything.

I seen Yanabah Redhouse has a dress with white jingles on it. It looked really nice too...didnt look all gaudy or anything.

I think they just spray paint the jingles.

You can buy paint that is made to spray on metals, I've seen it muyself at Walmart and Home Depot. Don't know if I would do it, unless the jingles were in some need of re-conditioning or somethin'.

Spray paint? really? I thought that would change the sound. Well, I guess if you didn't spray it on heavily.

I wondered about this subject not too long ago, I want my daughter to dance jingle (she's 19 months) and would love to use jingles a different color than the usual silver/gold. I wondered about spray painting...but then I didn't know. Is there really a place to get/buy colored lids? Where did you get these lids you're talking about, Wocus Woman?

Hi, From what I understand, from an artist perspective, to change the color of the metal, you will use high heat. I've seen people use different techniques to do this, but all done with advanced training. If you know of a metal smith, perhaps you can take your lids to the ms and ask them to tint them for you. They can do many variations of color depending on the type of metal used to make the lids.

The old fashioned way; had my younger brother collect them copenhagens over the years, while he chewed at work with his buds. We have silver, gold, bronze, copper, and of course the one burgandy red one. It's truely a collection.

I saw someone with a real pretty turquoise colored cones. I have no idea how they did it, cuz they were not chipped or anything.
