Favorite Side step style

Just wondering what everyone thought about the different styles of Slides. Do you guys like the more tradish flat footwork or the fancier on the toes slide? and why?
I personally love the flat foot side step. Looks real graceful, especially if its done really confident.

i like it when they do it on their toes. it seems harder to do.

well..im from the deprieved part of this pow wow scene..but when im older hopefully im going to be out with you guys at all these pow wows...Here in the maritimes..theres only like 2 side steps...1)ur flat on ur feet makin ur way side wways 2)jumping off flat feet to ur toes side ways....personally..i do the toes the most of the time...but whats the right way and how do u do it?lol...it would save me lots when i get to those big pow wows thnxs

I like flat foot.. depending on how their style is but just looks nice ;)

i like it when their on their toes or flat footed...what i dont like is when they start doing fancy things with their feet like crossing them or doing other stuff

i like dancing flat b'cuz it just looks like a lot smoother when i watch some gurls do tha side step on their toes it looks like they are sizors and cuttin up tha arena....but then iagian i gues it matters who is doing it and what they wanna do.....

I agree BubbleTrouble, it just looks like a bunch of hokey stuff, lol. There was this one girl who was in teen jingle, and her sidestep was deadly! She was on her toes the whole time, and was doin the washboard (lol, mind you she did it gracefully). And then there was this other girl who just kept criss-crossing her feet, which was kind of, well you know.

I like to do the slide on my toes But it is realy hard.

I do the flat foot...you know with the little bounce. There's nothing like alittle "junk in the trunk" to get all those cones moving

I would Realy Love to learn the Flat foot I dont know really how I am ment to do it.I have been danceing Jingle since I was 14 years old Fern Cloud who is Dakota entered me to Dance.

Flat footed.
You can go the jingle dress gallery and watch the video from the National Powwow from this year. They did an exhibition on each category, orginal style, :)

I like it when they do it flat footed but when they are on their toes amazes me the most. It makes it very interesting to watch.

I cant wait when Summer comes so I can enjoy the Summer Pow-wows I went to Co. Springs this week to stay with a Cheyenne Family and Man it was so cold it almost snowed.

I REALY CANT WAIT FOR SUMMER!!!!!!!!
