Do you dance better during competition or dancing for fun?

I don't know if this is just me but it seems like I can wip out more moves when just messing around with footwork. But when its competition time my mind goes blank and I just end up doing basic moves?

well i dance good either way but i think that i dance good when i am just having fun because i know that their isn't any judges watching weither or not i am on beat or if i stop on time....so i think when i am just dancin 4 fun is when i do better hakah

same with me, when im playing around with my friends or something at an intertribal with a good song we're jammin...but then in contest we got blank.

Same here. I usually dance more better just for the fun. My mind usually spins like crazy during competition.

yeah i think that this might happen to every1 but i hate it when my mind goes blank........

I am more relaxed when I'm just dancing intertribal. Then someone will bust out a good song - one of those that make you dance and you wish was your contest song, but too late because they sang it for intertribal.

i feel like this all tha time..... i sing with a drum and sometimes they can really jam and i wish dayum i wish i can dance to this song.......lol

yeah...nothing like a good intertribal song to get it going!
i feel more relaxed during intertribal.....the pressure is off. and it gives me more time to work on moves. but i love to do those moves in contest too! i like the attention!

haha same here..i'm also on a drum and I never get to sing the jingle dress songs very much because i'm always out dancing it so the only time I sing it is during practice. I love to just dance for the fun though.

i have abtter time when im just messin round...when there's no pressure...lol...but comp is fun too....but i gotta go with the fun of it...and i know whatcha mean..lol..my mind goes completly blank too...haha

id say just fer fun b/c ya dont have to worry about how ya dance or if ya make any mistakes....with non competition ya just dance yar heart out and if someone doesnt like the way ya dance ya say to heck with that cuz this is the way ya dance..actually i perferr to go to more powwows thats non competitive

I dance better during intertribals or when im practicing at home...I come out with better moves and i just dance dance DANCE...but i guess its just the pressure of competing that gets me during contest lol...most the time i end up just doing the basic moves..haha....but if i get a fast beat song....then i come out with all these moves..and i seem to have more moves dancing to faster songs..than slower ones..haha
