Putin' a lil jingle in it

Pattern blueprint question
Ok so I went to Wallie World, Walmart, lastnight to get the pattern number that was suggested to make the jingle dress. Ok....... is it really as hard as it looks? There is like 3-4 pages of patterns, and i was like OMG!!!! I hope it is not as hard as it looks. For those of you who have used the pattern, is it as hard as it looks? I am going to start to assemble the dress tomorrow, so I am hoping that you all are able to help me. Thanks!

On some patterns it's kinda hard.... the Sew Easy and Simplicity's are what I get usually.... unless I see something I reaaaaaaaaaaaally like. I'm still relatively new to sewing so I'll call mom up and ask questions. Now one thing she showed me that I thought was hella sweet was how to take less fabric and still make the same size dress (when it calls for 4 yards she'd only use 2 1/2). It was all in the layout of the pattern on the fabric. If you go by the pattern's instructions you'll waste alot (scraps) but mom would fold the fabric to the very edge, pin it, then cut it... and still have a good bit left.
All of the pages are for different sizes. The instruction booklet should tell you what you need to cut out. Girl I bought one that had like a bazillion freakin pieces to one outfit. I folded that mess up and it's still sittin where I threw it! Hope everything goes well!

What pattern number were you looking for? My MIL will be making a new dress for me soon and I'm interested in a different pattern than the Missouri River Pattern we used the first time.

If it's the pattern that I was suggesting earlier on, then it's quite a simple pattern. Keep in mind that there are different patterns in there, and you are not going to be using all of the pieces. I usually use the jacket pattern, and then just eyeball my skirt part of it. I like it because it's a bit form fitted and it is quite easy to sew. Hope that helps.

The one I got was sew easy and it looks really awkward, mom says it is because it is not sewn together, cause it is pinned with straight pins right now and cause it is inside out. We will see, but if it doesn't work, back to the drwaing board I go!!

I used that pattern and it was EASY!! Do not be afraid!!! I've never made a jingle dress in my life, and I made one for my 10 year old granddaughter in 4 days. I scaled the pattern down to her size and we now have a jingle dress that fits good and looks great.
