side step..

as all you know...side step is used for healing (traditionally speaking)
and nowdays,is contest style for powwows...
do you think that side step should be taken out of
contest and be replaced with crow hop?:)

I wouldn't replace it with crow hop. That's hard to imagine.
The debate of whether it (or Jingle dancing altogether) should be removed from contests is another issue altogether.

I totally agree with jojo

I think that replacing the sidestep with the crow hope wouldn't work at all.. I mean originally the crow hop was for fancy shawl dancers and now that everything is evolving mean the style and steps... i think we should stick to tradition. The contemporary style would maybe with the crow hop but not with the traditional. Stick with the sidestep.......
