Question Designs

How do you come up with your design on your dresses? Where do you get your appliqués design?

I just think them up also, on my daughter's new dress, the shapes look like the mountains in southern Oregon that overlook my home-land.

designs

I usually sit down and draw my dress and get a good idea of the designs. I then draw out my designs and go get my fabric. For the applique I use news paper of paper bags to cut out my designs. It's all freestyle, kinda like cutting out snowflakes.
It takes a few practices before mastering your designs. Once I do that I then get Heat n' bond lite and iron it on the back of my fabric, trace the design and cut it out. I iron it on the dress and start my applique.
