I hope that alot of people attend this. Red Lake really needs this, the wounds there are wide open and the people are in so much pain. If you are anywhere in the area, please attend even if you aren't a Jingle Dress Dancer. I think it is really beneficial when contemporary dancers see the Jingle Dress used the way it all started. I wish I could go, but my niece is graduating this week. I was in Red Lake when the shooting occured and I will never forget the terror that I felt when we first heard what was going on, the relief that my niece and her friends were okay, and the continuing horror at what was going on at the hospital and then immense sadness at the loss of so many people. It is still hard to believe that it really happened. I was back up there last weekend and lots of prayers are still needed for the whole community. Please, please hold your children close, I know that I am.

We couldn't make it, but I heard the turnout was good. I talked to a woman that was there, she said it was good. I also had young friends that made the walk on Thursday & Friday.
Our prayers are with you all.
