Ya'a'teeh all my jinglerz,thiz iz a little dine lady from tha navajo nation.I respect the Ojibewe people for coming out w/ the Jingle dance and ask for your prayerz,cuz i maybe initiationed thiz may.To me itz an honor to do thiz dance n show my respect fo tha people.It will b appreiciated for me.thanx

Hi there...I am not sure what exactly you are being initiated into. Are you being initiated to dance the Jingle Dress healing dance at an ojibway mide ceremony? Or to dance at a mainstream pow wow? I am curious on how this came about? Thanks.

ojbwmn,im gonna go into mainstream pow-wow.Im not doing it just for the fun of it and to make money,I want to learn about the way jingle dancing came about and i respect it for the healing powers it has been linked to.This is a way to represent myself and my culture,to be able to do this is an honor for me.I hope you don't think im just trying to look good or something,i will be traveling to the plains and will speak w/ other tribes (specifically ojibwe peoples) and ask their advice this is my plan.Thank you for your concern.

They initiate jinglers down there in AZ. I guess another jingler tells the new jingler what to do when they're initiating them.

I remember hearing that you're not supposed to raise your fan on the first two honor beats. I don't know. I watched one once.
