would you rather wear...

ok,ive seen some jingle dancers that wear plumes when others wear just the regular spike.I wear a spike then 2 feathers that hang off the side.would you rather wear plumes or a spike?
i guess on some girls plumes look good & vice versa.

well, i'm a contemp. dancer so i wear the plume. i use to wear the feathers, but not anymore. :)

i guess i'd rather wear a spike... i don't think i look right with a plume... i like my plume, but I don't think it looks good.

When my sister started dancing in 1987, she was advised by Teresa Iyotte from Rosebud South Dakota. The only advice that you can get should be in person from a respectable and traditional family member. Or, an elder should comment on what you need to do.

a spike? as in a spike from the wing, or do you mean a center feather? well i like plumes.... wish i had some big ones though..
plumes are more dainty, ill wear a center feather when im a grandma...or on windy days.. Ive worn center feathers when it was too windy to use plumes.

Wow! I completely agree with you^^ Though, I admit, seeing all of these people with plumes sometimes makes me feel a bit naked..O.o, it's ohkay though, it's fun to sit back and watch all of the panache of their regalia!

I prefer plumage, but there are some ladies who look so dignified when they were spike feathers. It all depends on what you feel is right for you.
