Yall on here are my pow wow freinds lol. At most I feel kinda weird cuz most of the people I go with dont dance or just to go or hang out with whoever..sometimes I feel like a loner but it's better than having that pow wow snob attitude. I'm a pretty freindly person..smile alot. I get looks like WTF..lol their loss though.

Just a lil off the subject on this other forum people were talkin about what they hated about pow wows some were: bad dancers, bad drum groups just really superficial answers. I was like what about the lack of tradition, respect, and kindness!?!?..haha oh wells.

I'm a dancer who only contests about 2-3 times a year, but I used to be on the trail from back in the 70's and 80's, so I know alot of ole timers, who are now well known, and quite a few remember me from back in the day and they along with the new well-known champs wouldn't even acknowledge me, just walk right by and not even glance my way, even if I try to say Hi! or smile and these are people who know my name or that I went to Haskell with , but this summer I was a judge at this big pow-wow in Minnesota, and that evening in the casino everybody was like hi! and talking to me. I was thinking that I had just seen them earlier this summer and they wouldn't even acknowledge me.

Yup thats the way it usually goes...same here, I dont dance anymore for obvious reasons but when I Judge ALL OF A SUDDEN folks wanna smile and shake hands and visit even!...how nervy is that?

Only every now and again do I get Genuine folks who aknowledge me....Its a good feelin knowin u aint been TOTALLY forgotten...

Oh man i hate it cuz like about a year ago before i started dancing i had a couple friends that were always on the trail and really sweet to me

then once i started dancing and i don't place very often act like they dont' even know me. Until my b/f comes around who's pretty well known and they act like we are still friends
