Hello from Milwaukee!!!

Well, I'm almost new here. I checked the site out several months ago and haven't been back until tonight. I'm looking forward to talking to this community. I've followed some of the threads and you've all been very informative and helpful. I look forward to picking a few brains in the craft/beadwork forum.
Here in Milwaukee, Indian Summer Festival is only a couple short weekends away and my son and I really enjoy watching all the dancing and pagentry. We also like to go to the Mid-Winter PowWow and Brad loves to dance. My son is severely mentally disabled due to the DPT booster mishaps in the early 60's and 70's but he has the biggest brown-eyed, double-dimpled smile and a GREAT laugh and we'll be there to watch and applaud all the competitors!!!!

Hi, NorthofAda! Indian Summer will be great this year, I'm hoping. My best friend and I will be there along with her Mom and my son, both in wheelchairs. I'm the short woman with lots of white hair and she's the cute Latina with a beautiful smile. If you see us walk by, stop and introduce your self!!!

Hi, Tere! I'd love to get to know you as well. What kind of horses do you train and what kind of training? I used to do dressage when I was very young but when my Uncle Max died and the farm was sold, that was the end of that. I've always been good with animals and kids, though.

Kat OMG!, I am now working on my level 2 Dressage test. That is so cool you have done it too!

I train abused and abandoned horses. They are used as therapy horses for troubled children. The horses and children each heal and learn together. I use the Horse Whisperer method and also the Pony Boy method which is about the same thing. I love horses and feel a deep connection to them.
