Spent most of yesterday afternoon hiking in the mountains
behind my home. Got some photos of caves high up on a
mountainside with my cellphone camera.

I ran in a 5k race yesterday with my husband. Ran this morning for 45 minutes to work out the soreness.

ALSO....back in February I started going to a meal assembly place here in town. You sign up for a session, pick out which meals you want to prepare from their monthly menu, then you go in and assemble the meals, either 8 or 12 meals, at once. They have all the food prep work done, they provide all the ingredients all ready to go, they do the clean-up, I just have to go in and assemble all the ingredients according to their recipe for each dish. The dishes serve 4-6 people, and you can split the dish into 2 that will serve 2-3 people if needed. Then you just take them home, freeze them, thaw them out when you get ready to cook them, and then follow the simple cooking instructions. This has simplified my life 1000 times over. We are eating better because I'm "cooking" at home...with 2 babies at home and working full-time, I was having trouble cooking at home because when I get home from work I want to spend all my time with my babies. This is sooooo much easier! I get to spend my time with my babies AND prepare a healthy meal. This is the healthiest thing I've done for my family in a long time. It keeps us from eating out as often, and we are able to eat together as a family. I highly recommend this to anyone that is having the difficulty I was having in preparing healthy home-cooked meals with limited time.

Found a new section of trail in the Santa Monica mountains
and went hiking on it--went as far as I could; the trail is not
completed yet. It will probably go up to some point which is
a good overlook and has a good view.

today i had a bowl of oatmeal with strawberries & flaxseed
for lunch I had grilled tuna on a bed of lettuce & for dinner I made pasta with ground chicken & marinara sause, I worked out for an hour doing both cardio & weights/

I made a protien drink for breakfast with fat free vanilla yogurt & straw brries half a banana & a tso of flax seed,
for lunch tuna salad on sliced tomatos, fruit for a snack
for dinner I made chicken corn soup, & salad. for my night time snack ate a cup of mellon
