Hello ndnz...i was reading some crazy stuff online today while looking for a miracle cure for the common cold...ya like the internet should be trusted eh lol. Well anyhoo i found, over and over agian, that peroxide regular ol 3% from the grocery store is supposed to cure a cold, when used at the first sign of a cold...has anyone heard of this or tried it?...did it work if u did?....and i was wondering if other ppl had some wierd stuff that they do or have heard that can cure some stuff?

Make sure you put a towel down cuz it finds a way to run down your cheek or neck!

I did it...it feels way wierd....just 2 drops in ONE ear incase i went deaf or some freaky shyt happened lol....but i did it twice last nite...and i do feel better today...but it could be all psycho...logical :lol

My grandma used to have a plant in the front yard (don't ask me the name of it). When we had an earache, she would soak some of the leaves in olive oil (not EVOO. The cheap stuff!lol), put it in our ear and then stuff cotton in there. Earache would go away!

Hmmmm...well, if you feel better then who knows??

I did swear by the Sundown Zinc lozenges with echinacea and vit C. UNTIL I couldn't find them anymore. It really kept a head cold from going to your chest and shortened the cold. Other zinc lozenges don't seem to do that much.

.....just take a good shot of grandpa's whiskey, aye. that will cure anything....or u might just get drunk and forget u have a cold, and then just do it all over again.....lol.

When I was little I used to get ear aches and my grandmother would heat up baby oil on a tea spoon (not hot just until warm) and poor that into my ear then put cotton in. It always helped immediately and my ear ache would be gone. For sore throats my grandmother had me gargle with apple cider vinegar or very hot water with salt in it. These home remedies worked almost every time. There was also some type of poultice my grandmother used to make that she would rub on the backs and/or chests of my cousins and I when we were congested in our lungs and coughing but no one knows exactly what was in that.

IM SICK!!!!!

Dang stuff dint save me this time...it did the last 4 times but this cold is a doozy....attacks the sinus' first...my oldest had it, then my youngest...they do share a room...then shel and i both woke up with totally blocked noses and wierd voices

btw i HATE being sick..its like its the end of the world everytime...is there a shrink in the house? lol ..umm anyhoo.....Anyone tried Cold FX? Do they have it in the USofA? im thinking about trying(buying) it tomorrow...but its so dang expensive

you ignore it and go about your daily business, it may drag

i do the hydrogen peroixde in the ears. i get wicked ear infections and the peroxide cools the inflammation and of course kils any buggies lurking in there.

i got a cold "remedy" thati have used before that helped in alleving symptoms. a teaspoon of honey in a serving of orange juice, 3 times a day.

Eating hot stuff that makes your nose run will clear you up some. For me, it has to be a certain kind of hot, and kinda sweet so it's palatable.

Or steam yourself, either in the bathroom or with one of those little facial things. Keep the house humidified, even if you have to boil water. That will keep things moving.

--This time nothing worked..i made lemon tea everyday like 5 times a day i drank 10 glasses of water everyday....ate my 1000mg or whatever it is of Vitamin C 3 times a day...added hot sauce and raw garlic to every cup of chicken soup i made...i left water in the kettle, simmering away all day on the stove....warm mist showers every evening
