Hey Dat! It doesn't hurt very much anymore, even after putting in my new set over the weekend. But my gums are getting sore. Did this happen to you, too? And I'm feeling the need to go back to the office and ask to see all the sets, so I can see the way my teeth will move over time. |

So it seems some folks are more fortunate than others.!! If I would permit bills in the amounts your posting, I'd takes years, and years, to pay off such bills. No other way for my family. My oldest daughter was suggested by her mother to me to get braces. Without 2nd thought I said NO. At that time the braces were in the $1000.00 range. Her oldest son went busy W/ an orthodontist. His teeth grew where the dentist felt they should not grow. So he removed a lot of them. I don't live W/ them so I think his dental is all done. The son's dad paid the bill through child support payments I believe. The dad was in construction. Still is I guess. None other in my immediate family have been considered as to braces.Although the time may come. I don't believe it will fall on my shoulders. Braces seem to be in a mystifying world of their own. Dentists also. I've heard dentists go corrupted at some time in their practices. Some opinions have been advanced as to the reason. I don't know.GES

I'm way to chicken to try traditional braces. Especially when they started talking about pulling teeth.
I'll only have mine on until April. It think that's like 9 or 10 months. Then I'll have a retainer to wear after that. I don't know WHAT that will look like. As for the cost, I AM very fortunate and got a nice raise in July. The down payment was about $1700 and I pay $160 a month for a couple years. No interest which is good. I'm actually going to TRY to pay $200 a month to get it done sooner. Well, that's the plan actually. Really, I'm sure getting tired of these things already. It sucks having to take them out and brush my teeth even after drinking ANYTHING but water. I change sets every 2 weeks or so, and each time my teeth hurt and I get new little sores on my tongue where the plastic isn't super smooth. But I got to check out the last pair and see how my teeth will look. So straight it boggles the mind. :p Don't know if it was worth $5000 though. My honey like my smile just the way it was. Oh well.... |

yeah, I have to get braces too... I got the genetic gap in the front of my teeth. I have an appointment in January to get my first assessment with the dentist so hopefully everything goes well!!!
