I have to go to the ER, I tried chiropracters and all that other stuff, when I have one that lasts for up to 5 days, when you wake up with one! nothing works except going there.

Pathwalker, You need to check w/your neurologist about the Botox. I know you are in Virginia - are you in the Richmond area? Because if so you could contact Neurological Associates. Dr. Thurston does the Botox there. It is expensive but when you add up all the money you spend going to the ER it is cheaper.

Not really tho because I have SLH for insurance so anything like the Botox would have to come out of my own pocket and it is free to go to ER. Sad but true. My Family Dr. doesnt believe in Migraines. He is sending me to a nuerosurgean though because they found out that I have discs collapsing in my neck, the neurosurgeon may link the two or at least be able to help.

Hopefully, the neurosurgeon will be able to help. If not you need to at least go to a neurologist, if you primary care doesn't really have a desire to help you then you need to find someone who will help.

No copay for the ER?? OMG, you must have great insurance. Mine is $75 through Southern Health. Although you would have to pay for the Botox just think of how you would be getting away from the pain meds. In the past week I have only taken tylenol or advil. I am getting ready to take something but not something strong - I can tell the barometric pressure is changing.

Thanks for your information. I already do all that stuff. I've made some RMTs very wealthy as well as chiropractors. I too have been taken to the ER for sedation. I just try to be a survivor and live life. My beadwork and dancing help alot. The beadwork helps me go to another place, that is if I can see. Sometimes the pain impairs my vision. But, I give thanks to the Creator that I don't have to deal with more.

What's the quote, I complained of no shoes, until I met the man with no feet.

Keep dancing

Thanks Pathwalker. Also, in the last year I've been adopted by two dogs that needed a good home. They can sense when I'm hurting and can be very comforting. Their names are Sugar and Penny. Sugar is a homeless Pit Bull that jumped into my car (literally) and she now protects me with her life. Penny is a mix and my little princess.

Awww, I love aminals..lol...(I meant to spell it that way!) lol...
They sure can sense when you are not well and they are a great comfort to you also. They can even sense death. Sad, but whenever an animal was in bad shape at the vet, the other animals knew. And if there were some that came in together, and one of them was about to pass, the other would not leave their side. My own dogs did this when my oldest was dying from bone cancer. It took him in one short month, but I knew it a week into it because of my other dogs actions. I guess thats off topic though. lol...

That's okay. I could talk forever and a year about my animals. Have had many. Horsees, dogs, cats. When I was a kid I even had a goat (you know us Cherokees and goats) and some possums (was a real country East Texas kid).

A few years ago my parents were down to their last two Labrador Retrievers. When Shadow died, Ace moaned and howled. Then we believe Ace grieved to death missing Shadow. Also, we had a mare once whose foal died, and she grieved terribly. Anyone who thinks animals don't have a soul and have feelings is really missing the boat. My dogs favorite time is when I do bead work. The both lay at or on my feet.

Some of my best and truest friends have been animals.

Have you ever paid attention to how elephants grieve? It is amazing. They carry the bones of the one the one that passed for up to a month after. I have a thread in chit chat about Animals if you would like to post there. Here is the link:

I figure an animal lover like you would enjoy reading it even if you dont post. I hope you enjoy it. ~PW~
