Unhappy Alllergies.....

Anyone ever have problems with allergies?? Man, I cut the grass yesterday (I admit- first time in like 2 months) and well last night I was awake cause I couldn't breathe... I just took some claritin...but it isnt doing to good....I keep sneezing and everything...I went to the DMV today, they took my pic to put on my permit..well I look like a hungover, teary eyed and mouth all discombobulated tryin to breathe....
what do you guys do for allergies??or is there nothing to do but suffer? I had to put a steaming hot wash cloth on my face last night to fall asleep..but by the time I got into bed...it was cold again...lol

:( :( :( :(

I am allergic to dust, mold, lemmons, cats ,and various grass and
tree pollens--and my addiction to going hiking in the mountains
around Los Angeles (yes, there are mountains around Los
Angeles--and two mountain ranges that run right through the
middle of the city) doesn't help any. But I do it anyway--
climbing a mountain, even by an easy route, is a good cardio-
vascular workout. Cats are probably my worst allergy. I am
taking allergy shots every 1-4 weeks depending on the season,
and clarinex/claretin/allegra/chlor-trimeton for the symptoms.

OILCAN is on a distinguished road
I'm allergic to wool.

wish I wasn't , I would love to wrap up in a pendleton blanket on a cold winter's nite.

Also in the spring and fall - hay fever

I never really thought I was allergic to anything...its just I can't breathe... I used to take Claritin D, but that messed with my head so now I am just blowing my nose..and breathing in the steam.

Well my allergies are pretty bad. Going to different powwows is hard sometimes because some places my allergies act up more than others. One medicine that works for me the best is Tylenol Allergy Sinus/Day Time. It worked so good for me. You might want to try it.

Sometimes you can develop a sensitivity to something you were not initially allergic to. A case in point is poison oak/ivy/sumac.
(Poison oak is now believed just to be a subspecies of poison
ivy. Poison sumac is closely related but is a small tree rather
than a shrub. All contain the same allergen; an oily substance
called Urushiol. If you are sensitive to one, you are sensitive to
all three.)

There is one thing I am curious about. Can other animals
(specifically other mammals) get allergies? Or is it strictly a
"people thing"?
