Question LADIES... has this happened to you???

I know this may be a long shot at getting some information on this or any one who may have started hemorrhaging during or after childbirth. If so, would you share your story and did your dr ever find a medical explanation of why this happened to you, if so, did you file a lawsuit? I know this maybe a touchy subject, and I will understand if you choose not to post your experience.

My step daughter was hemorraging before her babies were born last week. I don't know if that counts towards what info you're seeking.

What would be grounds for a lawsuit?

Possibly grounds in lawsuit for maybe like malpractice before your daughter delivered? I don't know, like maybe the dr. gave her a medication that caused this. I know this maybe kind far fetched, but ya know... just looking at all the scenarios.

LUVS! Now look who's being nosy!!:Chatter

I see, Luvlybutterfly!! I don't think the docs had much to do with it in her case, but in other's the meds issue seems plausible.

I feel for you if you experienced this kind of medical emergency or if someone you know did.

However, there are all kinds of sound medical reasons for a women hemorraging before, during and after childbirth. You are wasting your money on legal fees unless there was someone in that Labor and Delivery Room that can testify the doc screwed up. The placenta is one mass of blood vessels and veins. It secures itself to the wall of the uterus so that nutrients and waste can travel back and forth between mother and child. Sometime the placenta does not attach itself to a secure place in the uterus. Sometimes it attaches right by the cervix where it cannot get proper support. There are a number of conditions, abrupto placentae, placenta previa to name two where the placenta prematurely ruptures or separates from the uterus. These are medical emergencies! In the old days women would bleed to death with placenta previa.

So, I'm just trying to illustrate that there are all sorts of medical reasons why a woman will hemorrage (not to mention cysts, polyps, tumors) that don't necessarily point to malpractice.

My GF had to get stitched up right away because of the stupid pain killer guy. Because he was too slow in his job, our baby had more time to kick the hell out her mom, thus cutting her more. The doctores were getting after him too. He was/is a dork.

A friend of mine did!

Her assistant doctor took over when the main doctor had to leave for an emergency ~ well after the baby was born the assistant tried "tugging" the "what ever it is that the baby lives in" because it was "stuck" ~ sorry forgot the name of it.

Anyway, he tugged and tugged and did ALOT of damage to her, besides making her scream and beg and plead for her mother~in~law to go get a GOOD doctor!!

Good thing she did ~ she had to go into operation because of it!
