i used to have long nails but you relaly shouldnt play the piano with long nails anyhow....at least thats what i was always told..and its a bummer...well lwhen i do have them they're always brittle so i dont know what else to do to keep them long...any suggestions?

Oh yeah, I'll have to stock up on Jello (sugar-free).

'Nyway, I went to GNC and found the nail and hair vits. But the guy at the counter ended up talking me into the GNC multivitamin for women. He said it contained the same active ingredient as the other and was cheaper in the long run.

So I guess I'll take the multivitamin and eat some Jello more often.

I'm telling ya, you should have just bought some prenatal vitamins at Wally World or wherever. Probably a lot cheaper than GNC.

Hey, if prenatals work for you I say go for it. But last year I had a prescription for prenatals and I checked these out (the Ultra Mega's from GNC) and these were actually stronger in like over 80% of the ingredients.

I also have long strong nails but have been noticing ridges in my pinky nails. Any one know what causes ridges???

That's a huge "no no." Too strong of a vitamin wrecks havoc on your body. You shouldn't even have vitamins that are 100% in anything, unless of course you don't eat. :p The extra vitamins just make your body work extra hard to get eliminate. The body doesn't absorb it.

I've been blessed with good nails! They're long and strong. People always think they're fake! They try and pull them off and look under tryin to see my real nail underneath. I was all big headed one day and sayin how girls pay to have nails like me!! Aye!!

Hey Miss Go, I understand what you are saying but I am allergic to so much stuff (like milk, eggs) that I don't get lots of things you need in your diet. Plus they recommend certain vitamins for migraines like magnesium, B2, etc.

On a side note my mom and my hairdresser started taking the Skin, Nails and Hair vitamins and they both say they are working!!

Man, I'm cutting mine. Yesterday I fell out of the boat while white water rafting and I bent a nail backwards while clawing my way back on board. It still hurts like a mutha! At least it didn't break.:p
