well being from a big family...when i was a little kid that did go around alot....but the only kind of comb my momma used on us at that time was a heavy metal comb...otherwise..these plastic combs they have to use in daycares dont do the job....the comb was all metal and made your head feel dizzy....it also hurt like hell for us girls who had long long thick hair..god those memories eww...

yay they're hard to get rid of...sometimes just haveing your hair back in braid or pony tail does help...the first sign of scratching you should check your kids skelp..also one thing i do recall way back when was my momma used to use hair clips to keep part of hair thats already done away from the buggy part.. sometimes combing their hair everyday helps too...cuz even with metal combs doesnt get all the eggs out.....my momma used to clean the whole place down after she sprayed with pinesol (lemon kind) and bleach...we still have hard wood floors so thats alot of mopping..she also went ahead and threw away all bedding matresses and springs, and used to burn (which technically isnt allowed in toledo) all our clothing, drapes etc...and just got new ones which was stored in tuperware large tote containers including bedding until after about 6 months...and washing kids hair with dadriff shampoo does help cuz the eggs/lice cant stand the chemicals in that either...laso what helps is useing vinegar...they cant stand that either...it does stink but shampoo reg. after that with conditioner should help ..and it makes your hair healthier....

My poor niece went through the lice thing. As soon as her head was clean low and behold she was scratching a few days later. So, she was taken to the barbershop by her grandpa where her brother got his hair cut and came home with the exact same do!! She was sooo mad and I felt bad for her. She had a mullet!! She wore bandanas for months.
Finally the school admits how much of a problem lice is at the school. The school start providing lice combs and shampoo. The school nurse said how it's the same families that always have lice. They do nothing about the kids beside take them out of class and put them in a seperate room. All because of lazy parents a good couple hundred was spent on combs, shampoos, bedding spray, and taking every piece of clothing and bedding from 2 households to the laundrymat. Not to mention the beautiful hair that was cut. :Mad |
