Mud Woman - I was wondering how you are? The most important thing is that the baby is getting fed and gaining weight. You fed him formula. I would the exact same thing if my milk wasn't coming in. You are a wonderful Mom !! You love your baby and your baby loves you too. Your ability to breastfeed or not doesn't make you a bad mother. Don't put yourself down for something you can't control. I am very proud of you !! Thanks for letting me know how you are.

ya at least you tried and went as long as you did ....

as for pumping and nothing coming out .... that happened to me on second child. she was gaining weight ... my girls were not round by any means jus lean mean nursing machines LOL ... but when i pumped absolutely nothing came out ... i mean nothing. but when i nursed her ... it came out. she didnt lose weight ... had wet diapers and pooped ... yet nothing came out when i tried to pump so i just didnt pump anymore LOL.

same here. at first, when i went back to work, i pumped milk, and sent that with him to the babysitters. but now . . . nothing. when i do nurse him, he does get some milk, but not enough to fill him. he'll cry and wiggle around

he's how old now? ... maybe he should be starting solids now ... rice cereal that is LOL

I think I did solids at at 6 months. I fed it to them in the morning and before bed. I hope you guys are fine.

You don't ahve to start with rice cereal. Avocados, bananas and sweet potatoes are some of the best baby foods around. Babies dont get much sustenance from food at the beginning. Its more about learning and experimenting. If your baby is grabbing for food dont hold them back tho.

I'm sure your baby is doing good Mud_woman! just give him lotsa love and cuddles.

he is 5 months now. i feed him rice cereal in the morning and at noon. he's not as cranky when he eats cereal. he has grown so much. he likes to roll all over the floor. i try to keep him on the blanket, but five seconds later he's by the bedroom door. he's an active lil guy.

Glad to hear you are happy and well ! My 2nd oldest, when she was learning to crawl, would chase after a speck of paper on the floor. As soon as she saw it she'd inch across the floor to the paper. It so funny to watch. You have your own now too.

my lil girl, who is turning 3 this friday, encourages him to roll around. she rolles around w/ him. now she trying to get him to crawle. they look so silly . . .
