My son has been asked to be head boy for his community's pow wow that will be at the end of August.

He has danced but never had his 'coming-out' yet and he also dances for our communty's YOuth Dance Group. Kind of an educational program where our dancers are asked out to dance and educate the outside about various pow wow (native) style dancing. He is a 9 year old Northern Traditional Dancer. (Now with this; I was going to ask for a special for my Daughter who dances Jingle. So maybe I could combine?) Anyway.......

After a month of being asked and he accepted, I talked to one of the pow wow committee persons. She said that they were thinking of him just doing a special and next year's powwow he could be head boy. I told her he was very much looking forward to being head boy and that we were going to have a give-away in honor of all of this. She said he could do both. So I told her I would get back to her Monday after I talk to him.

Anyway, I guess this is more of a poll or 'what would you do?' type thing.
