Hoop Dancing

I am in the Order of the Arrow, currently on a drum/singing team. I am learing how to hoop dance. Can someone point me in a good direction as to find some information on it. the people that are helping me have limited knowlege.

you don't have to go west, just rent that movie Into the West, they have a really great bit on the origins of the hoop dance in the 1800s.

Have your drum team do some kind of fundraising activity.

With the proceeds, visit the World Hoop Dance Championships in Phoenix, AZ. It is held annually in February.

Get your info there first-hand.
