I'm going to have to go with this one elder, Louis Counselor. Naicatchewenin First Nation (I think they call it Northwest Bay in English.) Even after having a stroke, he's still smoother than silk and flows like milk!

You know what I was thinking...?...well, my lil bro' Jazz Bearstail can kick some serious azz Grassin' No Doubt. I remember seeing him in a Grass Special at Denver March last year and he was STOMPIN!! and sure enuff he got 1st Place.
Lee Jack Jr. is smokin' em up right too. Rusty Gillette still rocks. Richard Street, Lakota Clairmont, Wesley Windyboy, Brian Thunderhawk, Terrance/Byron/Daryl Goodwill boys rock. Poncho Brady can grass all rightous too so beware. Daryl Bearstail's got some wicked stamina, so they Iron Man contests are his, ha. There are so many more but I thought I'd throw this thought in for now, cya.

Of course, Jonathon is always and will be the ultimate. Along with all the others mentioned here.
But.....I watched Wanbli ChargingEagle dance at P.I. Winter Pow Wow....Oh My Goodness....that young man has got style!!!! I never really watched him, still thinking he was in teens I guess, but he flat danced at P.I. He made you feel the spirit of that dance and he danced hard all the way through. They did this thing where they did not stop between songs......he would stop and then just kind of keep moving and jumped right into the beat of the next song(the drum would stop and then the next drum would already be starting). And he did not give out. He deserved that win. A definite champion dancer. He is so nice, too. He did not project a cocky attitude, just likes to dance. |
