ummmm......well because i misread the origional post, i thought it said blingy godess not blingy goodness, lol so no i do not think that rhinestones or pink make a male a female.
i am however not on the boat with rhinestones on outfits, but that is just my opinion. i think that more tradish outfits should not be so decorated, i mean they should be noticed more for the dance and not the bling.Quote:

rhinestones
well i don't dance grass but have beaded grass outfits before. I don't have a problem with rhinestones on an outfit. Here in Straight Dance Country we used round metal "spots" which really were handmade precursors of sequins. When you look at the trade goods Europeans gave us and the amazing ways we used them to suit our own needs, I think our elders would have been all about rhinestones! We took Taffeta Ribbon and made it ours.... same with broadcloth. To me, being a Native Artist/Craftsworker MEANS creative and innovative! I mean c'mon guys, who else but a skin would have thought to roll Copenhagen lids to make cones for jingle dress??!!! And we accept the lids as a modern substitute for traditional materials. I use rhinestones on men's and women's outfits when I can get a good buy on them.
