Never made a headband before so I need to ask couple of questions.

The one wanting it wants beaded fringe coming from it........ anyone have pics...... I've seen some at powwows and I think I know what he's asking about but want to make sure.

Is the rosette in the center removeable? Is that where you have the ends hidden? I'm wondering that because I've made crowns....... so I'm wondering if it's similar.

Do you back it with cotton for the sweat factor like crowns are?

Yeah, Make it just like you said.

I was just thinking about those beaded veils - up in the Great White North there are spiritual leaders who wear hoods and veils to cover thier eyes so they can keep thier power in check. Some young women up that way keep thier faces vieled or wear hoods for the same reason - just in case things get out of hand and someone's power goes wonky on them.

I was wondering if maybe that's where these beaded veils come from today. Those state issued cop mirrored sunglasses too. Keeps the mind occupied in the othouse anyhow.

Dunno if you already made it already ... just stumbled onto the thread. The rosette/medallion is usually stationery. I wonder if the "beaded fringe" might not refer to the bead-curtain over the eyes, but to the side drops coming down from the temple area as the headband is worn?
