Howdy folks - most of the chicken dance questions seem to wind up in here, so i figured what the heck.

I've been making chicken dance bustles for a little while now, but have only made a couple of the kind that stick out, sort of in the "mess bustle" style. What i have been doing is preparing and mounting the feathers in almost the same way as when making a traditional bustle, but have been taking a good length of sinew and placing it between the leather loop and the feather. I then pull the loop up tight to the quill with the sinew pinched close inbetween them. When the glue is set, i sew the feathers on to a rawhide piece that mounts to the belt.

It works out pretty good, but I was wondering how other people do it, and if there is a better way. My way works pretty good, but i was wondering if anyone else had some bright ideas or suggestions for somthing else.
