I dance with a pair of sticks that look like real fancy rice knockers - the scientists say that wild rice is a grass and not a grain, so i figured what the heck anyhow - let's have some grass on the water.
I don't know where those whip sticks come from, Oklahoma I guessed, but i have a set in my basement that my daughter plays with. When I fancy dance I have one of those big flute looking whistles and a drop fan. Man, I love drop fans. I grass dance with a couple sometimes too - it's a real good motivator to keep those elbow up! |

I teach a dance class for ndn children to learn thier traditional dances. The boys find it easier while learning to carry nothing, & then have a sweetgrass hoop or stick when they are more expierenced.
Hope this helps. Suzze |

I dance with two small hoops in one hand and a fan in the other hand. while i dance i do small little tricks with the two hoops. it gets attention. I just made them so I don't know if the attention is negative or positive yet.
