My 4 yr olds grass regalia is amazingly free of yarn, but I used lots of the thiner tightly wound yarn instead of the looser thiker yarn, I'm thinking that has helped cause the grass comes off easy, although I have seen some that it was I problem, so I'm thinking that with little ones it's in the type of yarn
