Up and coming champs

Well, Eldon Owens became a champ, just as I predicted. These two I like to watch and they are up and coming champs: Matthew Duncan and TJ Sherman.

(now this may sound corny especially in todays' "professional" champion" dancers idea...) but in this preschool teachers' point of view.. I think any of the little ones out there dancing are to be commended and applauded... and I'd like to also commend the parents of these kids as well..

So.. many wops and ahos to the little ones putting on outfits and showing us it's about dancing and having fun, not about money or being a "champion" dancer...
two cents again.. hee hee

I would have to add Tyler Thurman to this list, he's an awesome little fancy dancer. He took first at GoN a couple weeks ago....

I would totally agree, Rae's little boy Skyler he can tear it up. He's gonna be a great chicken dancer. And Dezi is very graceful like her mama. I would also add Eric Betoni's son from nm: Queinton Betonie, he's gonna be a good gass/chicken dancer too!

Have to add Little Bear (Occoneechee Saponi) to the list. His dance tells the story about the little boy who couldn't walk. My favorite local grass dancer of any age.

there is this jr. jingle dress dancer who just blows my mind away. I have seen her dance at few powwows and you can surely tell that she was born to powwow. i have attached a pic. I do not know her name though.

Wow this thread sure bounced back from the past, aye ... I posted earlier on it like five years ago enit! OK for an update then...

Up and coming tiny tot / junior dancers, right now I can think of three from around the Northwest:

Jalen Calvert (Celilo/Warm Springs)

Ezra Jim (Yakama)

Terrell Jack (Tulalip/Sauk-Suiattle)
