Question Feathers - Red Felt?

I have always been taught that you wrap all feathers in red felt if you are giving them to someone as a gift. Then a little while ago, I was told only birds of prey (eagles, hawks, ospreys, etc.) should be wrapped in red felt. I am doing a giveaway this weekend and have several beaded feathers to give to people and was planning on wrapping them in red felt to present them, but I am wanting to make sure this is the proper thing to do. Any suggestions?

I was told (someone correct me if i am worng) That just eagle feathers where wraped in red felt and the other wraped in buckskin or some other matrial. But, I think it varys from tribe to tribe. Hopes this helps. I hope this weekend is a grooder one, I know you have been working really hard.

Wado, sweetie. I'll get those beads to you one day next week. I've just been a mess getting everything done. I guess I'll figure out what to wrap these up in. Aye, one more thing to do....
