I'm new to beading on hide... and any tips on preventing stretch ... i know about sewing another layer of cotton fabric (mocs are already sewn together and i want to add another row of beading)

On mocs I don't think you want to prevent stretch - you just gotta go with the flow. When they get worn, they're gonna stretch.
I've beaded on finished mocs before and it's not hard at all. Going around the toe wasn't bad either. Just had to make sure to start on one side of the toe and make sure there was enough thread so I wouldn't run out on the tip toes. Good luck!
