I'm trying to make arm bustle for my little fancy dancer and could use some input as to the best way to make them. I've never made them before, so any help would be greatly apprieciated.

Strung hackles, a cd and tons of hot glue. Plain and simple.

hot glue the hackles around the back of the cd, string a rosette throught the cd hole to tie onto his arm.

of course you can put another cd or a piece of leather on the back of the feathers also.

You can also use strung hackle sewed on to a round plastic canvas blank then covered with CD or rosette or both. You can get the plastic canvas blanks at Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart, etc and they come in different sizes and can be cut smaller if you want to layer your arm bustles.
