I Still need Help on makin a Drum Stand for Contemporary Drum so can some Drum Keepers wil give me Idea from my Drum I'll be getting by the end of the month October 2006.

Hey Campfire... did you get the pictures I emailed to you? That of course is the stand to sit the Drum down flat. The stand we made to suspend the Drum is exactly the same design except it had 1 inch holes bored into the top of the uprights of the stand and we inserted 1 inch diameter "staffs" into those. The staffs have a peg going thru them horizontally that we tie the handles of the Drum around to suspend it at what ever height you want it to be at. I can send you pictures of that too if you would like.

is the wood 2x4 becuses I don't know what type for wood size most Drum Makers us.

We used 1 x 4's on that stand. White cedar. We glued and nailed 3 boards together to make it as wide as we wanted. If you look really close you can see that its 3 boards joined together.
